Event Planning and Execution
I participated in the planning and execution of a few events with Utah Valley University both as staff and as a student. Below are three examples of events that I planned individually or as a part of a team of students.
Event Assistant
As part of my job as an event assistant at Utah Valley University, I have planned multiple events, including conferences, banquets, and celebrations.
Polished
Polished is a women-led, one-day conference intended to connect students and give them opportunities to learn how to succeed as a leader in today's business, financial, and entrepreneurship world. I worked as the event assistant for this event and staff day of.
Women in Leadership Case Competition
The UVU Women in Leadership Case Competition was a two-day competition where students from across the country came to propose solutions to a modern-day problem. I worked as the event assistant and logistics manager.
Woodbury Holiday Party
The Woodbury School of Business Holiday Party was a celebration of the efforts of the staff and faculty. This holiday event featured a three-course meal and a murder mystery for the guests to solve. I worked as the event assistant and event lead for the night of the event
Personal Financial Planning Banquet
The Personal Financial Planning Banquet is an annual event for all students within the Financial Planning program at UVU to reward their accomplishments for the year. I worked as an event assistant and designer for the event.
Masquerade Ball
The UVU Honors Masquerade Ball was a first-time event that I planned as a student as part of the program. This event was for the whole program with an estimated guest count of 250. I was the main planner of the event and had an advisor that would give advice and check in on the progress of the event.
Internship Fair
The Woodbury School of Business Internship Fair was an event to help connect students with industry professionals. The planning of the event was a class project for the UVU Event Planning Class. The event had students and guests attend a networking session following a general session.
